Evanston event to help cats in need

A local cat rescue has set the date for a special celebration that will mark the end of summer, and while they have fun, attendees will be offering assistance to some furry friends in need of a second chance.

Paws and Claws will be welcoming one and all for its signature gathering. Dubbed “Rally for Rescues,” it will be set up in Baker Park in Evanston, and the monies raised will be used to help the organization help cats.

The celebration will be filled with games and other fun, and everyone can cool off with some ice cream and other food and drink choices. A raffle and auction are also on the agenda, and live music will have the crowd’s toes tapping. Everyone can meet some cute and adoptable kittens, and the kids can have their faces painted.

To help maximize the amount raised, and also to increase awareness of the host organization and its work, there will be an assortment of merchandise featuring its Logo Design available for purchase. Customized Promotional Products for a group or activity can be ordered from a Print shop.

This chance to do a good turn for cats in need while having fun at the same time will be on offer on Saturday, September 21. It will be open from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
