Evanston celebrates art with return of long-running festival

The 35th annual Fountain Square Art Festival is coming up this weekend and, according to organizers, will feature more artists than ever before.

The City of Evanston’s website states that the festival will feature an eclectic mix of at least 225 juried artists in addition to numerous activities and food selections. Moreover, the general cosmopolitan feel of the show will be augmented by a jazz-centric musical lineup.

Despite having a sophisticated flavor, this is a family friendly event with a children’s art tent full of art-centric activities taking place under the auspices of the Evanston Art Center. The children’s tent will offer art lessons as well as other creative projects. Both kids and grown-ups will be able to enjoy a wide assortment of the area’s most popular foods.

One of the most economical and effective means of advertising such an event as this is with the assistance of a banner printing service. A banner can be hung across a main thoroughfare, where it will be viewed by the most potential attendees, and provides ample time for those who wish to attend to arrange a window in their schedule.

This year’s Fountain Square Art Festival takes place June 28 – 29 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in downtown Evanston near the source of the festival’s name - the city’s Fountain Square.
