Chamber event honors local business leaders

The 96th Annual Celebration and Awards of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce is being held at the beginning of next month.

This event pays tribute to the outgoing members of the board, as well as three individuals in the community. The awards to be handed out are Businessperson of the Year, Community Leadership Person, and Nonprofit/Public Service Person.

The evening will consist of a buffet dinner, a cash bar, live entertainment, and the awards presentation. It is also an opportunity for attendees to network with their business peers, during which there will be plenty of time during the event to briefly discuss business and exchange custom printed Business Cards.

Sponsorships are available for purchase for $500, $1,500, and $2,500; all sponsors will have advertisements in the program and will be recognized on the podium. The businesses who purchase the two highest levels of sponsorship will also have a vinyl banner displayed at the event. An Evanston banner printing firm will likely be asked to provide the needed Banners.

The Annual Celebration and Awards is set to take place at the Peckish Pig on February 1 from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Tickets are $65 for Evanston Chamber of Commerce members and $75 for nonmembers; the price includes two drink tickets.
