A third Tavern restaurant will soon be opening in Meridian.
Construction is nearing completion of the Tavern at Eagle Island, which is near Fred Meyer hypermarket superstore at the corner of Chinden Boulevard and Linder Road. Banner printing can be used at such sites to keep the community abreast of progress and expected opening dates.
The other Tavern restaurants in the region include the original location in Boise at the Bown Crossing development, which opened in 2007. Downtown Boise has another location of the restaurant, which has been open since 2016.
The Tavern at Eagle Island will have many of the same popular dishes served at the other restaurants, such as the Beyond Burger and Capellini and Lobster, but will be more family-friendly despite being designed for the culinary tastes of adults. There will be prime-grade steaks and chops and daily seafood specials, as well as a wine and beer menu and a full liquor menu. Plans are also in place to serve brunch on the weekends.
Co-owner Barry Werner added that the dishes will range from comfort-style bar food to refined entrees with some items unique to this location. The Tavern will be 3,000 square feet in size and able to seat about 100 people.
Other eateries at this Tavern location include Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and CUPBOP Korean BBQ.
