The Meridian Public Library has opened the Pinnacle branch in South Meridian as the library is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
The new branch is on East Phenomenal Street at Locust Grove and Lake Hazel and spans 11,000 square feet. Banner printing can be used at such sites to inform residents of such new openings, as well as their features and offerings.
The branch features spaces for reading for both children and adults, a gaming space for teenagers, rooms in which staff can relax and work, outdoor space, and meeting space for the public. There is also a holding room that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for late night or early morning pick-ups. A levy of $14 million that was passed in 2019 helped top pay for the new building.
Nick Grove, director of the library, expressed his excitement about opening this space for the community. He said that he hopes visitors to the new branch will feel like it is home and will come in and explore all it has to offer. He added that he also hopes that people will find the classes, events, resources, and connections that they are not able to find anywhere else.
In honor of the library’s 100th anniversary, a limited-edition library card featuring a 100-years design is being issued by the district.
