Applications are now being accepted for the Neighborhood Grant Program in the city of Meridian.
These funds are for organizations and residents looking to lead a project regarding improvements on a right of way within the city limits or on public property. The grant focuses on those who are interested in impacting neighborhoods in a positive manner, such as through beautification projects, updating features, or adding new elements. Interested parties can request up to $50,000 per project and can request funds for more than one project if they wish.
Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about such grants and the application process.
Robert Simpson, mayor of Meridian, said that those who live in the neighborhoods play an important role in the makeup of the city, and in the services it provides. He explained that the goal of the grant program is to allow residents to propose projects that will be of benefit to all members of the Meridian community, He added that these grants enable residents who have an idea about a way to improve a public space, pathway, or a park to bring it to reality.
Grants will go to those who successfully complete the application process and are chosen by the selection panel. The deadline to apply for a grant is 5:00 pm on Monday, March 6.
