XPO, based in Greenwich, Connecticut, and a provider of freight transportation in North America, has completed the enlargement of its service center in Norcross.
This new service center will add 46 doors in its market in Georgia and enable the company to handle more freight and provide better customer service. It will also enable the company to expand its capabilities in the metropolitan Atlanta area and help it to reach its plan to grow its capacity in the network of North America, with a target of 900 new doors by the first quarter of 2024.
Chief operating officer of XPO, Dave Bates, said that the strategic plan of the company calls for adding new doors in new markets that need the capacity and can help the company to grow over time. He added that this expansion in Norcross, within the expanding area of metropolitan Atlanta, will provide additional speed and flexibility, and will help the company to better serve its customers.
He commented that the company’s presence in the local area will also be strengthened with career opportunities that pay well. Many of such jobs often require the need for business card printing services to help promote the company’s offerings to businesses in the region.
There are currently 120 people employed in the Norcross service center. The expansion will add driver sales representatives and dock workers.
