Special concert series to come to Norcross

The Cultural Arts and Community Center in Norcross is hosting its First Friday Concert series.

This is an opportunity to listen to Motown, rock, jazz, and more through the early months of next year. Such concert series are often promoted throughout a city with flyer printing.

Next week, the South Bay project will be performing. This is a cover band that specializes in all types of music including reggae, soft rock, pop, rhythm and blues (R&B), and contemporary jazz and gospel. This concert will be next Friday, November 4.

Early in the new year, The Grands of Sand band from Athens will be performing. This band is composed of seven members with a three-piece horn section, and both lead and backup singers. The focus is on R&B, soul, and beach music with tunes that will encourage audiences to get up and dance. This concert will be on January 6, 2023.

Myles Brown will be performing in February. He is a professional guitarist and songwriter from Atlanta who performs jazz and classical guitar music, and composes funk, jazz, dance, pop, and symphonic and instrumental world music. This concert will be on February 3.

Finally, the Rainmen will be performing in March and are from Atlanta. Their specialty is rock n roll hits from the 1960s and 1970s. This concert will be on March 3.

All concerts are from 7:00 to 9:00 pm with doors opening at 6:00 pm.
