Ronda Rousey, a former bantamweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), will be endorsing the products of Mizuno USA Inc. based in Norcross. The company makes sportswear and equipment for running, golf, baseball, basketball, and many other sports.
The mixed martial arts fighter will be playing a significant role in promoting the company’s new line of training gear, Mizuno Training, by being part of various kinds of Promotional Products. Rousey will be seen in marketing campaigns, advertising, and many other publicity activities as a representative of the company.
Other well-known female athletes including April Ross, a professional beach volleyball player, and Jennie Finch, a right-handed hitting softball pitcher and medal winning Olympian, have deals to endorse products from Mizuno. Last June, the company expanded its product line to include training gear by introducing a pair of trainers. Rousey will be promoting this line as the company has plans to offer a variety of new Apparel and footwear next month.
Rousey took a break from wrestling last year and has not yet announced when she plans to return. Mizuno is the latest company that has established such an endorsement with Rousey.
Other endorsement deals from those from the UFC Hall of Fame have included companies such as Reebok, Proctor and Gamble, Monster Energy Drink, and Metro by T-Mobile.
