Norcross contractor creates joint venture for long-term military projects

A contract worth $9m has been awarded to a joint venture of FSB and Pond to provide architecture and engineering services for the military.

A government contractor based in Norcross, Pond-FSB JV also includes an airfield, aerospace, and fueling design firm in Atlanta. Oklahoma City-based FSB is Frankfurt Short Bruza Associates PC and provides engineering and architectural services for facilities related to flights and airlines, such as aircraft hangars.

The joint venture was the winning bid out of 20 that were received by the military. The contract is primarily for Air Force Reserve projects. However, the Department of Defense commented in a statement that other military projects needed in the Ohio River and Great Lakes area could be included.

The contracting activity will be managed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in Louisville, Kentucky. Each order will determine where the work will be done. The Department of Defense added that all work is expected to be completed by March 3, 2023.

The two companies have collaborated in the past, being awarded a $250m contract for architectural and engineering services at Joint Base Andrews.
