New electronic recycling available in Norcross

The Norcross Computer and Electronics Recycling Center is now opened.

This is an e-waste recycling facility that provides an alternative to traditional landfills. Residents of Gwinnett County can now recycle electronic waste such as desktops, laptops, cell phones, and printers in an earth-friendly environment. The facility will accept other electronic equipment including Ethernet hubs, video game consoles, telephones, and power strips. Listings of all such equipment that can be accepted at such facilities is often helpful for the community and local Print shops will be happy to provide such materials.

Also known as Ecycle Atlanta of Norcross, the facility will also destroy hard drives at no charge. This service will provide peace of mind for customers knowing that that any sensitive data will not be found.

President of Ecycle Atlanta, Jeff Shenning, wants to encourage responsible recycling, so he wants to ensure that recycling electronics is made as easy and safe as possible. He said that his center provides drop-off and drive-up services so that people do not need to leave their cars as those at the facility will unload all equipment. He said there is no need to make an appointment and the service is free.

The Center is on Peachtree Corners Circle is easily accessible to major roads and is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
