A new food hall to be called South End Norcross is currently under construction. The property once was home to a tile shop, a gas station, and buildings for auto repair.
The site covers one acre in the 100 block of South Peachtree Street and is near the existing green spaces and restaurants in downtown Norcross. The plan is to add a combination of new buildings and event venues, and to reuse existing structures for the food hall, a brewery, and other uses. Terra Alma, a real estate consulting firm, is partnering with TileTech Renewal Co., a historic preservation company, on the project.
The new establishment will have three or four stalls for restaurants with South End Smokehouse, a barbeque restaurant concept as the anchor. The main feature of South End Norcross will be a centralized green space to be known as the Yard. This will have a live music stage, a location of Clarkston coffee shop Refuge Coffee Co., B&W Burgers, and Butter and Cream, in ice-cream shop based in Atlanta. The developers are looking to add a distillery or brewery to the development.
Banner printing can be used at such sites to inform residents and visitors of such upcoming unique projects.
The stage is scheduled to start hosting comedy shows, live music, movies, and story time for children this fall, while the food hall portion is scheduled to open in Spring 2024.
