Monkey Wrench Brewing will be expanding its operations in Suwanee next month.

This expansion will immediately bring 12 new jobs to the community, increasing to 20 jobs over the course of the year. Residents of Norcross looking for employment and interested in the business of brewing beer may be interested in these positions.

Monkey Wrench Brewing has a microbrewery, which it opened in January 2020, spanning 14,000 square feet. The space also has a taproom that covers 12,000 square feet and an outdoor beer garden of 6,400 square feet. It also has spaces for holding weddings, corporate events, and parties. Expansion plans for the microbrewery include distribution of its beer in the county, downtown Atlanta and the surrounding area, and then statewide, with Florida and Tennessee as its next markets. It plans to purchase a canning line, drains, and a keg washer. Additional expansion plans call for a 20-barrel fired brewing system with seven fermentation tanks.

Over $500,000 has already been invested by Monkey Wrench Brewing in its current set-up, and it plans to raise an additional $400,000 towards this new brewing system. It is partnering with Honeycomb Credit in an effort to raise the funds.
