Duluth will be holding a Fall Festival next month.
The kickoff to the festival will be the festival concert. The opening act, which will start at 6:30 p.m., will be Heidi, Jo, Lefty & Mo - a collaboration of some of the finest musicians in Atlanta. A festival presentation will follow at 7:30 p.m. and then the Guardians of the Jukebox at 8:00 p.m.
Held at the Duluth Festival Center on Hill Street NW on Saturday September 14, people are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and a picnic or enjoy food from restaurants in Duluth and food trucks at the concert.
There will be a Festival Parade featuring boy and girl scouts, local dignitaries, fire trucks, sports teams and musicians from elementary through high school, clowns, and animals. The parade will be on Saturday September 28 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Immediately following the parade will be the opening ceremony at the Festival Center Amphitheater. The Honorary Grand Marshal and the Grand Marshal of the parade as well as other dignitaries will be honored.
The Duluth Donut Dash 5K Race will take place the next day. The warm-up is at 7:45 a.m. and the race will begin at 8:00 a.m. All race results will be chip timed and all participants will receive a free t-shirt.
