There are not many skate board parks in North Georgia, but fortunately for Cumming enthusiasts, one of the two in the area is located here and is now open for the summer.
Skateboarders who want to improve their skills and enjoy themselves can do so at Fowler Park, instead of practicing in their driveways or on the street. In addition to the skate park, Fowler offers facilities for the entire family, including tennis courts, softball/baseball fields, soccer fields, playgrounds, outdoor basketball courts, a lacrosse field, and batting cages. There is also a dog park, a walking path 1.5 miles long, and a recreation center. In addition, Big Creek Greenway can be accessed from Fowler Park.
Fowler Park is located at 4110 Carolene Way, in Cumming. The park's hours now are 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Monday through Sunday. Children under 12 have their own hours; they are allowed to skate board from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. They also have their own hours on Saturdays, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
There are no park attendants or supervisory personnel, so parents are urged to watch their children carefully, as skateboarding can be a hazardous sport.
Facilities like these can benefit from working with a newsletter printing company, which can provide materials describing amenities and special events at the venues.
