Winter Park to hold dog-themed fundraiser

People who are interested in supporting the Canine Companions organization can attend a festival held at Central Park in Winter Park.

The Orlando DogFest is a fundraising event where participants can assist those with disabilities by helping Canine Companions provide them with free service dogs. The dogs are expertly trained and can improve the quality of life for people. The organization was created in 1975 and has helped more than 7,000 clients. There will be several volunteer opportunities at the fest, like working the event’s activity booths, checking in guests, and setting up the festival.

The money raised during DogFest will help Canine Companions pay for items like leashes and capes, along with services like health screenings for puppies. The donations also allow the organization to feed and provide medical care for the dogs it professionally trains. Companies can sponsor the dog-themed festival by paying at least $250. There are many sponsorship levels for the event that offer benefits like recognition on DogFest Posters and volunteer T-Shirts.

The fest will be held on Saturday, April 22nd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Those interested in joining DogFest can register as an individual or sign up with a team. Vendors who wish to take part in the event can pay $100 for a booth space. Businesses and nonprofits that attend local fundraisers like this may use Print shops to order backdrops and Banners for their stalls.
