The Trinity Preparatory School of Florida in Winter Park will hold an event in February that lets readers engage with published authors.
The Trinity Prep Author Fest is an event where attendees can hear from 16 experienced authors who write for young adult and middle-grade audiences. The lineup for 2024 includes writers such as Stuart Gibbs, Vivi Barnes, and Lucienne Diver. There will be several panels for guests to watch at the festival that feature authors like Jen Calonita and Christina Diaz Gonzalez. The sponsors for the event include Skool Style and the Writer’s Block Bookstore.
The keynote speaker for the author festival will be Nic Stone, a published author who has written Books such as Hazel and Gray, Odd One Out, and Clean Getaway. She has also written several personal essays, including A Word For The Reluctant, Letter to My Younger Self, and The Power of The Right Book. Many podcasts have invited Stone as a guest speaker, like the Brew and Ink Podcast and the First Draft Podcast with Sarah Enni.
The author festival will be on Friday, February 9th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All attendees must register online. The fest will also be available online for people unable to make it to the live event. Schools that host festivals similar to this may use banner printing to make ads they can place outside near roads.
