Winter Park schedules family-friendly Halloween event

Winter Park is gearing up for its annual Pumpkins & Munchkins Trick-or-Treat Trail, and is inviting everyone who lives in the community to attend the fun event.

The Trail is part of the Family Fun Program run by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. Winter Park has been recognized by the International City-County Management Association (ICMA) with an Excellence Award for its police, fire-rescue, and Parks & Recreation Departments, so the party is in good hands.

The Trail is family-friendly, free, and is open to people of all ages. Activities include games, a balloon artist, bounce houses, a costume contest, and the Trick-or-Treat Trail, all designed to allow everyone to enjoy a happy and safe Halloween.

Those who cannot attend the trail event could do their trick-or-treating earlier, when merchants along Park Avenue will give out candy to youngsters in costume. Businesses who choose to participate in events like this can work with a banner printing company to create festive decorations for their premises.

The Annual Pumpkins & Munchkins Trick-or-Treat Trail is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on October 31, in Shady Park. The park is next to the Winter Park Community Center, which is on West New England Avenue.

The Park Avenue trick-or-treat event is set for this Saturday, October 27, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
