A ‘One-Night-Only’ special event is on the schedule at the Winter Park Playhouse, as David Jericko and The Crew perform ‘Solitary Man: A Tribute to Neil Diamond’.
Proceeds from the show go to help support The Playhouse Mainstage, as well as the theater's community outreach programs. The Playhouse frequently performs at schools, or sends actors and others to work with children who otherwise would have little to no exposure to theater or the arts.
Neil Diamond has been a mainstay in the music industry for decades, and Jericko will be singing some of his best-known hits such as ‘Sweet Caroline’, ‘September Morn’, ‘Brooklyn Roads’, ‘Cracklin'Rose’, and ‘Solitary Man’. He will be backed up by The Crew, his band.
Jericko is recognized throughout the country for his tributes to Neil Diamond. He has performed in Las Vegas and Memphis, and his popularity has led the artistic director of The Winter Playhouse, Roy Alan, to express great enthusiasm at finally having him appear in Winter Park. Alan also suggests that interested patrons buy tickets early, as he expects a sellout.
The concert is scheduled for 7:30 pm on October 21. Since many fans like learning more about an act than can be provided in a program, theater management for events like this could work with a printing company to create Booklets that provide detailed information about performers' careers.
