Winter Park opens new courthouse

The new courthouse for Orange County is now open in Winter Park. The new courthouse is a state-of-the-art facility that is three times the size of the previous branch of the courthouse.

It is near Goldenrod Road, just off University Boulevard. This larger space has a larger ceremony room for weddings, two courtrooms, and a larger waiting area to ensure that visitors are more comfortable. It will offer services of the clerk’s office including passport processing, marriage licenses, and an attorney room for legal consultations. Brochure printing is one way to provide more details about such services and such a new building.

Tiffany Moore Russell, Clerk of Courts for Orange County, expressed her thrill in being able to introduce this new courthouse in Winter Park to the community. She said that the facility demonstrates that the county is committed to providing exceptional service and better access to justice for residents of the county.

Mayor of Orange County, Jerry Demings, said that the courthouse will ensure that residents of the city and neighboring communities will have their access improved to legal resources, the courts, and many other services for many years in the future.

Lisa Munyon, Ninth Judicial Circuit Court Chief Judge, added that the high-tech design of the courtrooms will enable hearings to be held both remotely and in person, which will increase the speed and efficiency of processing cases.
