Winter Park businessman appointed to university board

M. Carson Good, president of Good Capital Group based in Winter Park, has been appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Board of Governors of the Florida State University System.

Good is filling a vacancy on the Board and is one of the 14 seats of the board which are appointed by the governor. It has a total of 17 seats and includes the Chair of the Florida Student Association, the Commissioner of Education, and the Chair of the Advisory Council of Faculty Senates. The board oversees the university system across the states, which includes 12 universities.

Such appointments often call for flyer printing services to inform stakeholders of the filling of vacancies.

Good serves on the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. The governor re-appointed him to this agency in 2022. He has also served on the Economic Transition Committee of DeSantis and as Chairman of the Orange County Planning and Zoning Commission. He also been a member of the board of Orange County Parks and Recreation.

Good has spent 30 years in commercial real estate. He currently is a member of the board of Alpine Income Property Trust, a real estate investment company which is private and invests specifically within the state. The realm of higher education, he has been on the Board for the real estate school of the University of Florida.
