Wine tasting in surprising setting in Winter Park

Wine lovers have a chance to enjoy great wines and a boat tour at the same time.

Josie Onifade, the “Sommelier of Soul,” is inviting the community to enjoy a cruise through Winter Park as they take part in a wine-tasting. Attendees will learn basic facts about wine and its enjoyment, as well as how to pick the correct wine to enhance a meal. The session is one hour in length, which includes a snack, as well as a flight of wines from various countries. The boat tour will give participants a chance to see beautiful flowers, ferns, cypress trees, and palms, as well as estates and luxurious homes along the water.

Onifade began her career in the food service industry in 2005 when she worked in Chicago's Ritz Carlton by Four Seasons. She began paying close attention to the details of the work, and went on to work at the Walt Disney World Resorts. Today, Onifade is a certified sommelier who has 15 years in the industry as a culinarian, caterer, event planner, and beverage and food manager.

Onifade describes herself as the “Sommelier of Soul” to express how she experiences her love of wine and good food, as well as her delight in introducing others to these delicious products.

The event, “Sunset Sips: Winter Park Boat Tour and Wine Tasting,” will begin at 5.15 pm on March 15. Brochure printing can be used successfully to create programs for such events.
