Sister restaurants in Winter Park offer special champagne meals

The Cask & Larder in Winter Park is planning one-off meals during this holiday season, along with The Ravenous Pig, its sister restaurant.

There will be a champagne brunch on New Year’s Day at the Cask & Larder. Chefs James and Julie Petrakis, who also own the restaurant, will prepare comfort food of the season with a Southern flair and items from the local area. There will classic dishes such a chicken and waffles, and more innovative items such as Pork Belly Banh Mi and Breakfast Ramen.

The Cask & Larder is a neighborhood restaurant that makes its own beers on site and serves more traditional Southern food. The restaurant cans its own pickled vegetables and preserved fruits, cures its own meats, and purchases its seafood from the local area.

The Ravenous Pig, also owned by the Petrakises, is known for its seasonal roasts held on the first Saturday of each month. Specialties of the house have included lamb, whole pigs, and sausages made in house.

This month, on December 28, the restaurant will be serving a four-course Champagne Dinner. The meal starts with a West Coast oyster Champagne ‘Snow’ and each course is paired with a chef’s course of wine. Printing companies can help the owners to disseminate information about these meals by creating materials that highlight the menu items and what makes them unique.
