The Park Avenue District (PAD) and the Parks and Recreation Department of Winter Park are planning for the holiday season.
PAD, the city, and the Community Redevelopment Agency will develop and design “Christmas on Park,” a festive and robust holiday experience on Park Avenue.
Central Park will be converted into a wonderland of the holiday season with an immersive experience and twinkling lights. Two features returning will be the carousel and the Cathedral of Lights. The traditional lights along Park Avenue between Webster and Fairbanks Avenues and along New England Avenue between Capen and Virgina Avenues will be surrounded by these special elements.
People coming to the area will be able to dine at the award-winning cafes and restaurants and shop at the unique small businesses downtown, and will be in a setting reminiscent of a holiday movie surrounded by seasonal décor, inspired by the rich history of the city. Such cities can benefit from poster printing to promote special events during the holiday season.
PAD became an affiliate of Main Street America in 2022, enabling it to strengthen historic downtowns to the extent that it was ranked among the top 150 main streets in the country by a survey conducted by Present.com last year.
Christmas on Park festivities for 2025 will begin on Thursday, November 13 and will continue through the month of December.
