The Denning Drive project has been under construction since 2017, but is now entering its final phase, according to an article on the Winter Park website.
The last part of the project will be handled by Winter Park’s Streets Division. In order to complete the revisions, workers will make improvements to the streetscape and handle construction upgrades between Webster and Canton avenues. The work in this area began early this month.
For about two months, Denning Drive will remain open, with all the traffic diverted to the southbound lanes, with one lane in each direction. However, as the project winds down, the drive will be closed completely while the median is landscaped, curbs and sidewalks are installed, and the road is repaved. Residents and businesspeople will have access to their homes and stores.
The work, known as the Denning Drive Multi-Use Trail Project, will transform Denning Drive, which is currently four lanes wide, into an improved trail. The trail, which will be suitable for a number of uses, will be ten feet wide, and will run between Webster Avenue and the Mead Botanical Garden. The trail will also offer access to business and neighborhoods in its vicinity, making the trip enjoyable for both bicyclists and pedestrians.
Major projects like this can greatly enhance a community, and officials can use brochure printing to create Booklets that illustrate the amenities of the finished work, and make them available to visitors.
