The 33rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on March 4 beginning at 2 pm. The parade will travel down Park Avenue to City Hall. The parade is presented by the City of Winter Park and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee.
On St. Patrick’s Day everyone is Irish or wishes they were, it is a reason to celebrate and is celebrated worldwide. The United States has a long history with St. Patrick’s Day parades, the first one held outside of Ireland took place in Boston in the early 18th century. However, in recent years they seem to have become less popular; this is the only St. Patrick’s Day parade in central Florida. It seems likely that people will come from all over the area to take part in the Winter Park parade.
The Winter Park St. Patrick’s Day parade will feature 75 organizations, floats and bands. There will be Irish music and step-dancing performances at the main stage in Central Park. It will be a great time to celebrate all that is Irish. Don’t forget to wear some green.
There is no doubt that Winter Park printing companies will be helping those taking part in the parade prepare for the day.
