The 44th annual Fiesta in the Park is coming to the Winter Park area for two days this November.
This popular festival is expected to feature over 600 artisans selling items such as handmade jewelry, pottery, photographs, clothing, and folk crafts. This is a juried event and the artists compete to win Best of Show or first, second, and third prize in the categories of Fine Art, Folk Art Crafts, and Creative Crafts.
Best in Show comes with a $2,500 prize and an example of the artist's work appears on permanent display in the Ontario County Library System. The other categories come with cash prizes from $250 to $750.
In addition to the wide variety of arts, there is also set to be live entertainment and food trucks; some of the food providers will be handing out free samples.
This event attracts people and artists from all over, including Winter Park. Many of the exhibitors may invest in services such as banner or postcard printing to bring more attention to their booths.
Organizers are accepting applications for the Spring Fiesta; fees are $200 for a 10 x 10 foot booth or $375 for a double.
The Fiesta in the Park is taking place at Lake Eola Park from November 1 to 2 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Admission is free. Call 407-246-2121 to find out more.
