The Winter Park Housing Authority (WPHA) recently selected the Allied Orion Group to manage six public housing communities in the Winter Park area.
The six provide 707 housing units in total. Their selection by Winter Park means that Allied Orion is now working with a number of housing agencies in the Southeast and South, including Ft. Worth Housing Solutions, Harris County Housing, the San Antonio Housing Authority, and the Houston Housing Authority.
The six communities that Allied Orion will be managing are The Plymouth, Tranquil Terrace, The Meadows, Tuscany at Aloma, Railroad Avenue, and Winter Park Oaks. Among them, the six developments offer a range of apartment homes from one to five bedrooms, and various amenities appropriate to the ages of the residents.
WPHA executive director Patricia Rice said Allied Orion Group was selected because it has experience managing properties of many different types, and because it focuses on the satisfaction of the residents of the various communities. Any management organization can maintain buildings, she said, but it takes a special type of manager to make a real commitment to the residents, and Allied Orion has done that. She also noted that the transition from the prior management company has been smooth.
Companies like this can benefit if management works with a newsletter printing company to develop a letter for residents, discussing the transition and what they can expect from the new managers.
