West Palm Beach will be the location for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk to be held later this month.
The goal of this event is to bring the community together to raise funds to help save lives from breast cancer. Funds raised at this event will go toward the research investments towards a cure, advocacy, and support which the Susan G. Komen organization provides for those people facing breast cancer to ensure that they get the needed care. Such events are often promoted throughout a community with banner printing.
Hubbard Radio, WPTV Channel 5, and the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center are the platinum sponsors of the event. Additional sponsors include South Florida Ford, Pratt and Whitney, and Florida Power and Light.
The Walk will be held on Saturday, January 29 with registration beginning at 7:00 am at the Meyer Amphitheater in West Palm Beach. Opening ceremonies and the Pathway of Hope, Warriors in Pink Recognition will be held at 9:00 am and the walk starts at 10:00 am.
Pre-event activities will include a mall-wide Shop and Share event at the Gardens Mall on Saturday, January 22 where 5% of the sales of the day will go towards the Susan G. Komen organization. Participants in the walk will also be able to pick up their event T-shirt and materials that day.
