All about trees at West Palm Beach celebration

The Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting will officially mark the start of the holiday season in the city of West Palm Beach.

Featured at this celebration will be photos with Santa, special entertainment, and music by Sound Society, among other activities. There will also be a Holiday Gift Boutique along Flagler Drive and inside the Lake Pavilion. Here, people will be able to find unique treasures and gifts. Among the items for sale will be personal care products, accessories and clothing, ornaments, jewelry, and vendors with special gift items for family and friends.

The Sandi Tree is a major highlight of the festivities in West Palm Beach. Community events supervisor, Angela Poco, said that the process of putting Sandi together takes about two weeks. Sandi is 10 years old this year, reaches 35 feet tall and weighs 700 tons, and, as the name suggests, is made of sand.

The tree lighting will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Thursday, December 4 with the Holiday Boutique open until 9:00 pm. Once the tree is lit, Sandi and the surrounding area will feature synchronized light shows and music every night from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm through Tuesday, December 30.

Unique and special events such as this one can be promoted throughout a city and surrounding communities with poster printing.
