The Parks and Recreation Department of the city of West Palm Beach is now offering enrollment for its Spring Break camps for this year.

New this year will be a fishing camp. Attendees will learn the basics of fishing and includes bating a hoot, tying fishing knots, casting the fishing line, and identifying the different species of saltwater fish. This camp will be held at Currie Park from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
For elementary and middle school students, campers will be able to spend the week at a local recreation center engaging in arts and crafts, sporting activities, and field trips in order to make new friends. These camps will be held at the South Olive Community Center and the Gaines Park Community Center from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Programming each day will vary depending on the location.
A skate camp will be held for elementary and middle school students. Attendees can learn the fundamentals of skateboarding or advance their current skills. Qualified skateboard instructors will lead students and coach them. This will be held at Phipps Park Skate Park from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
The camps will run from Monday March 14 through Saturday March 19 and are available for those in grades kindergarten through eight.
