West Palm Beach residents are asked to come out and take part in an event that will show their solidarity and support for those living with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Along with building friendships, the Best Buddies Friendship Walk will raise funds that will be used to help those living with intellectual or developmental issues to integrate more fully into their communities, and be treated as valuable members of them. This is achieved through activities such as integrated employment, one-to-one friendships, and leadership development.
The day will begin at 8:00 am with registration and a breakfast, to be followed by the opening ceremonies. After that, the walk will begin. The day will wind up with a ‘Friendship on the Plaza’ celebration. A flat rate for parking of $3 for the day has been provided courtesy of OneParking at all CityPlace garages
The event will take place on May 14, rain or shine, at CityPlace in West Palm Beach. Food, and a variety of Best Buddies branded merchandise will be available for purchase and cash donations will be accepted. Promotional Products for fundraising such as this can be produced by a printing company.
