Those in West Palm Beach who care about the welfare of homeless and abandoned animals will soon have a chance to show their support in a tangible way.
A walk has been organized by Peggy Adams Rescue League, and this will be the 17th year that it has been held. It will both start and finish the Cheesecake Factory in CityPlace, and along with the walk, there will be lots of other fun on offer as well.
The morning of the event will kick off with a free breakfast, which will be provided courtesy of the Palm Beach Sherriff’s Office. At 10:15 am, the participants will set out, and spectators are invited to turn up and cheer them on.
Everyone is welcome to participate, whether they walk or need a wheelchair or other assistive device, and they are encouraged to bring along their leashed pet to join in as well.
One the walk has been completed, the fun will keep on going. There will be both a raffle and silent auction, and awards will be given to the teams that raise the most funds. Along with this, each person who registers to participate, and who raises $35 or more, will receive a T-shirt that has been specially crafted for the day. A local printer can use graphic design to create items such as these.
