A community engagement initiative is being introduced by the city of West Palm Beach to gather feedback from businesses, residents, and visitors to the downtown waterfront of the city.
Titled “Your Waterfront. Your Way,” the project is a response to the commitment of Mayor Keith James to residents to provide an opportunity for the community to share their vision for the downtown waterfront. He hopes that this process will gather feedback from as many businesses, residents, and visitors so that a more vibrant and resilient downtown waterfront can be created.
The Department of Housing and Community Development of the city will have several engagement activities that will include public meetings, surveys, and walkabouts for residents to collaborate with staff from the city on a visioning exercise.
There will also be a series of public meetings that will enable the community to learn more about the vision and priorities for an ideal waterfront. More information and details about such meetings can be made available to members of the community with flyer printing.
The first meeting will be at Cacti Park of the Palm Beaches on Thursday, April 11. The second will be at the South Olive Tennis Center on Tuesday, April 16. Both of these sessions will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The last one will be at the Mandel Public Library on Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 am to noon.
