The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach and the Parks and Recreation Department of West Palm Beach are providing many afterschool options for students his fall, now that students have resumed in-person learning.
More details about such options are often made available to the community by Print shops with Flyers and mailers. The annual Fun Out of School Activities for kids and teenagers is one program of the Parks and Recreation Department. Participants can enjoy sessions to enhance basic skills, community services, tutoring, arts and crafts, and much more. These programs will be available at several parks in the city and run from 2:30 to 5:30 pm, during the school week.
The Thank Goodness No School program will also be offered as an option for childcare when there is no school, but the city offices are opened. This program will run from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and will be available tomorrow (September 28), then from November 23 to 25, and again on December 4. Grades kindergarten through five will be served at Coleman and Howard Parks while children in grades kindergarten through eight will be able to go to Gaines and South Olive Parks.
The Mandel Public Library will be offering its SAT Preparatory Workshop Series from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on two Mondays, October 5 and 19 and Homework Help Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm for elementary school students and from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for teenagers.
