West Palm Beach library to feature NYC photography

Works by two well-known photojournalists will be on exhibit at the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach beginning next month.

The focus of the exhibit will be on New York City, featuring Parks and People, by Adam Stoltman and Super Moon Over Manhattan by Gary Hershorn.

Special exhibits such as these are often promoted throughout a community with poster printing.

Hershorn has been a photographer for 40 years. His career started at United Press International in Toronto after which he joined Reuters in 1985. He has covered such major events as the earthquake in Haiti, Hurricane Katrina, in addition to many entertainment and sporting events, including several Super Bowls, World Series, 24 Academy Award presentations, and U.S. Opens golf, and tennis.

Stoltman has been an editor and photographer for over 30 years. His work has been featured in The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Sports Illustrated, and Paris Match, among others. He has covered most major sporting events, some as an editor and others as a photographer.

The exhibition will open on Saturday, April 4 and run until Saturday, May 23. There will be a reception that is free and open to the public on Friday, April 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Viewing hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Checking the event is still going ahead beforehand is advisable.
