West Palm Beach holiday festivities include pirates and a sand tree

West Palm Beach will be holding its month-long celebration of the holiday season with Holiday in Paradise, starting with the tree lighting at the end of the month.

The focus of this celebration is Sandi, the only holiday sand tree in the world, and the coveted Ferris wheel.

This celebration held every year features free entertainment, nightly light shows and music, additional sand sculptures, and many other activities held each day.

The theme for this year’s event is “Treasure West Palm Beach,” which will focus on pirates.

Looking from afar through his spyglass, Captain Pauly the Parrot notices the lights sparkling on Ferris and Sandi. His merry men send him to shore to see what lies in wait. When they arrive, they find all the treasures of the holiday and celebrations with family, friends, and the community.

There will also be Paradise Island, presented by Dunkin’, with a 50-ton sandbox filled with many activities that capture the pirate theme.

The NewDay USA Stage will feature the sound of The Music Machine, as well as strolling entertainment, fun-loving pirates, and photographs with Santa. The Lake Pavilion will hold a holiday shopping bazaar.

Local Print shops often assist in spreading the word about such unique events with Flyers and other printed displays.

All these activities will debut from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Thursday November 30.
