Unique holiday festivities in West Palm Beach

The Holiday in Paradise (HIP) campaign, which lasts for the entire month of December will be returning to the waterfront at West Palm Beach.

HIP will feature its well-known sand tree, named Sandi, which stands 35 feet and weighs 700 tons. Joining the sand tree will be Ferris the Ferris wheel, powered by Land Rover Palm Beach, which will provide a new aerial view of Sandi and HIP. News about such added special features are often disseminated throughout the community with flyer printing.

Mayor Keith A. James said that this year’s celebration will be the best yet with Ferris joining the festivities. He added that Florida Power and Light has joined HIP as the first presenting sponsor and the city is looking forward to celebrating the holiday season with the community and visitors.

Rides on the Ferris wheel will be from 6:00 to 9:00 pm every night through the month of December. The Ferris wheel has its own light show and gondola seating. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. Sandi also features synchronized music and light shows and is also available from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on the quarter hour. The nightly party will be joined by the dancing Centennial Fountain.

HIP will kick off with the Clematis by Night Holiday Tree Lighting on Thursday, December 1, taking place on the Great Lawn from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
