Feeding South Florida is expanding its outreach efforts in Palm Beach County as it hands out vouchers for grocery packages across the county.
Executive vice president of Feeding South Florida, Shari Vatske, said that the organization will be handing out vouchers every Monday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am. at the Palm Beach Outlets on a first come, first served basis for those who need supplies of food. The grocery packages contain a week’s supply of eggs, milk, fresh produce, a protein, and other essential foods. Such organizations often turn to flyer printing to inform residents of such efforts underway in the area.
On Tuesday mornings, the organization distributes these vouchers in downtown Lake Worth Beach, and on Wednesday mornings, it is at the United Baptists Church in West Palm Beach and Catherine Strong Park in Delray Beach, then on Wednesday afternoons at the Community of Hope Methodist Church in Loxahatchee. On Thursday mornings, the organization will be in Boyton Beach at the Christ Fellowship Church and on Fridays at Greenacres and Riviera Beach.
Feeding South Florida is based in Broward and operates a large resource and distribution center in Boynton Beach and has expanded its centers in several communities in the area.
Vatske said that the plan is to provide food for at least 800 families a week just at the Outlets alone and will continue to do so there and elsewhere until June 1.
