The Sierra Club has organized an event in West Palm Beach that will bring together those who have an interest in conservation in an event that it hopes will be both fun and informative for all.
The fundraiser, which is open to Sierra Club members and the general public alike, will include open wine and beer, both cold and hot hors d’oeuvres, live music presented by Rob Arenth, and a dance performance courtesy of Katherine Kanitsch. Along with the other festivities, the 2016 Environmental Award will be presented to Paulette Burdick.
To help raise funds for the different initiatives the club supports, a silent auction will be held for an assortment of items, including outings and adventures, vacations, sporting goods, art, restaurant certificates, and hotel stays.
Monies raised will be used to help fund the Elaine Usherson Scholarship Program, the Loxahatchee Group's conservation efforts, and Inspiring Connections Outdoors. Marketing services can be put to use in promoting events such as this to the public, which can help to ensure that as many people as possible will attend.
The Thanks and Giving Celebration and Silent Auction will be held on November 12 at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties in West Palm Beach. Tickets start at $35 each if purchased before November 5. After that date, they will be $45. They can be purchased through the function’s Eventbrite listing and also at the door.
