Jaguars were once found throughout much of the southern U.S, but today they only live in Central and South America. An event near West Palm Beach will raise funds to help ensure their survival.
The Save the Jaguar 5k will take participants on a route that winds its way through Dreher Park before finishing up in the Palm Beach Zoo, where the runners or walkers will go by a variety of species, including wallabies, tigers, and ocelots.
The first 500 who register to take part will receive a special T-shirt, and all who sign up will be given a free admission to the zoo for the race day. Graphic design can be used to create promotional clothing such as this. All participants will receive three coupons that will allow their friends and family to enter the facility for half price, so they can see the animals and watch the runner or walker reach the finish line.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in a variety of categories, including top overall top three male and female, top three masters male and female, and the top three finishers in each age group.
