Rock legends honored with West Palm Beach tribute

The Downtown West Palm Beach Waterfront Meyer Ampitheatre will soon be hosting Chain Reaction – A Tribute to Journey.

This monthly event hosts the most popular talent in the region, as well as national recording artists. Set for plenty of colorful logo designs and poster printing, the event is one of the most popular scenes in the West Palm Beach region.

A family friendly outdoor event, patrons are invited to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and there are also drinks available for those 21 and older. The City of West Palm Beach Department of Recreation, Strategic Events, and Division of Community Events produces the concerts.

The original band, Journey, has been going since 1973. They are most well-known for their song “Don’t Stop Believin’”, which was released in 1981 and has enjoyed a new surge of popularity in recent years.

Chain Reaction is scheduled to play at the Meyer on September 16 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Admission is free for everyone. Those who would like more information about the upcoming event are advised to contact the Division of Community Events at 561-822-1515.

Bands who are interested in playing on an upcoming date are asked to contact Laura Reines at lreines@wpb.org, while those who would like to receive updates about upcoming events are also asked to contact the same email address with “Events Eblast” in the subject line.
