New town center to come to West Palm Beach area

Construction on Avenir, a mixed-use development with housing and a new town center with hotels, dining, and a grocery store will soon be underway in Palm Beach Gardens. Residents of West Palm Beach looking for a new residence or new shopping opportunities may be interested in this development once it is completed.

Avenir Town Center will cover 51 acres and serve as a centerpiece for downtown. It will include hotels, retail establishments, restaurants, apartments, and office space and offer many amenities for those in the area. There will be 250 multi-family homes, 350,000 square feet of commercial space, 150 hotel rooms, 120,000 square feet of office space, and spaces for the public to gather. Outside of the town center, there will be an additional 3,900 new homes of various sizes and price ranges.

Banner printing is often used at such upcoming construction sites to inform residents and those that travel to such locations of developments of their details and their progress.

Rosa Schechter of Avenir Properties said that this development will become part of the fabric of people that travel between West Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens every day. Schechter added that it was intentional to locate this project on Northlake Boulevard as it will serve not just Avenir but the surrounding areas as well, creating a sense of community.

It is expected that the first phase of the project will be completed within the next two years.
