New hotel to open in downtown West Palm Beach

The Canopy by Hilton Hotel in West Palm Beach is currently under construction, planning for an official opening date next month.

The hotel will be 14 stories high and is catering to millennials, with check-on and room selection services available on mobile devices, scooters and bicycles for getting around town, and room services being delivered by robots. The hotel will also feature an outdoor deck on the sixth floor for special events, about 3,000 square feet of meeting space, and a gym. Many such features can be highlighted by Print shops as they create Promotional Products for such new hotels.

The hotel is in the downtown area and close to the Palm Beach County Convention Center and major office buildings. Chief operating officer of North Palm Beach-based Driftwood Hospitality, Michael Diaz, commented that the hotel is expected to draw convention and business travel as well as leisure travel.

Much of the flavor of West Palm Beach is incorporated into the design of the hotel. The artwork in the guest rooms and other pieces around the property will highlight the railroads as a tribute to Henry Flagler, who made the city a hub for trains to South Florida. Public art will also be built into the space.

The official opening date of the hotel has been set for Thursday, March 5.
