The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County will be hosting its first Culture and Cocktails event of the season next month.
Flyer printing may be used to send announcements of such events to those in the community.
President and CEO of the Cultural Council, Dave Lawrence, said that this event will be virtual. This is the 16th season for this series and the theme this year is “Cool People Doing Neat Stuff.” Scott Eyman, a historian on Hollywood who is from West Palm Beach, will be interviewed by Lynn Kalber, a columnist and food editor from Boca Magazine.
Eyman has written Books about the lives of Cary Grant, Robert Wagner, John Wayne, and friends Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda, among others. Eyman was the arts critic and book editor for The Palm Beach Post and his reviews have been published in The New York Observer, Film Comment, and the Wall Street Journal. He is also an adjunct professor in the Cinema and Interactive Media Department at the University of Miami.
The event will be streamed online and is free for both members and non-members of the Cultural Council. Lawrence said that the Council will announce the remaining three conversations of the season with the hope to return to usual location for these events, which is the Coral Ballroom of the Colony Hotel. This event will take place on Monday, November 9 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
