The city of West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability and the University of Florida Institute for Food and Agriculture Science Extension Service are collaborating to offer the university’s Climate Smart Floridians program to students, businesses, and residents.
This program has eight modules to help attendees develop the skills they need to curb their impact on the climate by studying home and renewable energy, transportation, green buildings, food and water, and other topics focusing on climate issues related to West Palm Beach.
The program is designed for practical applications in the real world. Instructors who are experts in their fields will teach in the program. Attendees will have access to resources provided by the West Palm Beach Office of Sustainability at no charge. Such resources often require the use of brochure printing services provided by local Print shops.
Those who want to attend any one or all the sessions need to register in advance. Class size is limited so preference will be given to the residents, students, and businesses of West Palm Beach.
All sessions will be held in the Hibiscus Room of the Mandel Public Library on Clematis Street from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Sessions will begin next Monday, March 6 and be held every week on either Monday or Wednesday ending, on Monday, April 24.
