The American German Club in Lake Worth will be holding its annual Taste of Recovery next month. Residents of nearby West Palm Beach want to hold the date.
Top chefs from South Florida will be serving samples of their unique dishes. Among the restaurants represented at the event will be Rocco’s Tacos, Louie Bossi, Elisabetta's, and City Oyster. There will also be raffle tickets for a chance to win some exclusive prizes. Music provided by a DJ will be the entertainment for the evening. Attendees will also be able to vote for the best cuisine among the chefs participating in the event.
All proceeds of the event go to The Crossroads Club. This is a non-profit meeting center for those who are pursuing recovery from various typers of addiction. It serves an average of 700 people per day. The mission of Crossroads is to provide a safe space for people to meet to reach their potential and enable such individuals to become positive contributors to the community.
Tickets are $75 at the door and all members of the family are welcome. Children under the age of two are free.
Such special evenings and their fundraising efforts are often promoted throughout a region with poster printing.
This event will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday November 2.
