The Frisbie Group of Palm Beach and the Related Urban Cos. are advocating for the building of a business school for Vanderbilt University in downtown West Palm Beach.
Vanderbilt is a private university in Nashville and is known as “Southern Ivy” due to its strong reputation and process of selective admissions. The Owen School of Management, its business school, has an annual cost of $103,000 to attend.
The business school would be constructed on two acres of land owned by the city and five acres next to the land owned by Palm Beach County. These parcels of land are in a section of the city called Government Hill.
Flyer printing can be used to inform residents of such proposed projects and their benefits for the city.
Ken Himmel, Chief Executive of Related Urban, said that having a campus of the business school of Vanderbilt University would make the city a significant destination. His company has built hotels, offices, and other properties in large cities and he added that each city in which Related Urban has worked has a well-known university as its anchor.
For some years, Related Urban has been stressing that West Palm Beach needs to round out its institutions with a research hospital, a major university, and more top secondary and elementary schools.
