The Mandel Public Library on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach will be holding several special events adults next month. Such events can be promoted throughout a community with banner printing.
Nickie Hennevelt will be one of the artist spotlights of the month. Hennevelt is a local artist and Cricut expert who will demonstrate how to use Cricut machines to create innovative pieces. Her presentation will be next Wednesday, August 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Kathy Shabotynskyj, a career coach, will be leading a workshop on Resume Help and Career Tips. She will provide tips for interviewing, help with updating résumés, and guidance on planning a new career move. She will be holding appointments at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 pm on Thursdays August 4 and 18.
Senior Curator for the Museum of Florida History, Michelle Hearn, will be discussing the history of the Florida Highwaymen, a group of African Americans from the 1960s and 1970s. This talk will be next Saturday, August 6 from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Later in the month, Kianga Jinaki, a fiber artist, will be leading a workshop on sewing techniques, enable beginners and experts to learn sewing techniques and work on pieces for an hour and a half. This will take place on Sunday, August 28, beginning at 2:00 pm.
