The 9th Annual International Cuban Sandwich Festival has been rescheduled in Tampa and will take place at Centennial Park.
Streets will be closed and three entertainment stages will be set up to feature live music and dance performances. Performers include Orchestra Fuego, Salsa Broso, and Revelacion Salsera. Chris Maloof of Salsa Aerobics will be the host emcee. Vaya DJ and Sons will be on hand for more music.
Featuring over 100 vendors, Smackdown Sunday will offer business, cultural, and food participants. Vendors participating in large festivals of this type often work with local printing services to create materials needed such as Business Cards. Business card printing can be done in any quantity and in full or partial color.
Within the park, Ybor City Museum and Gardens provides tours for guests. Beer and wine sales will be open at that time.
Participating restaurants include Smoke House BBQ, Cuban Café, Las Palmas, Pipos Cuban Café, and Tampa Sammich.
Family-friendly activities include Zumba and Salsa classes. A main attraction is the making of the largest Cuban-style sandwich in the world. The goal is 190 feet to beat the Kissimmee record. Feeding more than 450 homeless people in Tampa Bay, the sandwich represents fun with a higher purpose.
The Cuban Sandwich Festival will take place on Sunday, November 8 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Centro Asturiano de Tampa.
